Guangxi University Holds the First Graduate Student Academic and Cultural Festival
2024-06-23To enhance the innovative consciousness and abilities of graduate students, promote academic exchange and collaboration, showcase the research achievements of Guangxi University's graduate students, and recognize outstanding individuals and organizations, the closing ceremony of Guangxi University's first Graduate Student Academic and Cultural Festival was held on the morning of July 11th in the Yulin Hall of Junwu Building. 2024-06-23On May 30, the 2023 Guangxi Science and Technology Awarding Conference was held in the Conference Center of Liyuan Villa in Nanning. Liu Ning, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, attended the conference; Lan Tianli, Governor of Guangxi made a speech at the meeting; Cai Lixin, executive vice Governor of Guangxi, presided over the meeting; Liao Pinghu, vice Governor of Guangxi, read out the commendation decision; Zhang Xiaoqin, Fei Zhirong and other leaders of the autonomous region attended the meeting and presented awards to the recipients. Feng Jiaxun, vice president of Guangxi University and other representatives attended the meeting, and Professor Nie Shuangxi from the School of Light Industry and Food Engineering received the award from the regional leaders at the meeting. -
Academician Wang Shuangfei of GXU Awarded the State Preeminent Science and Technology Award in Commerce
2024-06-23Recently, the China General Chamber of Commerce announced the 2023 Science and Technology Awards. Academician Wang Shuangfei, a professor of Guangxi University and a member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, was granted the State Preeminent Science and Technology Award in Commerce. He is one of only two recipients and the first individual from Guangxi to receive this award. -
New Progress in Discipline Development in GXU
2024-06-23On June 13th, Shanghai Ranking released the "2024 Best Chinese Universities Ranking". Two majors were on the A+ list and other 18 majors were on the A list. The proportion of majors on the list (B and above) is 95.7%. Two A+ majors (e.g., Mineral Resource Engineering and Packaging Engineering) are ranked second in China. As for Level-A majors, Light Chemical Engineering and Thai rank fourth and fifth in China respectively. Compared to 2023, the number of A+ majors and A majors has increased by 1 respectively, and the rate of majors on the list has inreased by 2.3%.
